Long-distance triathlon glossary·TSS

TSS : Training Stress Score

Load

The "cost" of a session, combining duration and intensity.

One hour at threshold = 100 TSS, by convention. A long Z2 ride may hit 150 TSS (duration), a short intense workout 80 TSS (intensity). TSS lets you compare the load of very different sessions.

In TriPaced:

TriPaced shows prescribed TSS per session and actual TSS once completed. It feeds the CTL/ATL/TSB curves that drive your progression and injury risk.
