Terms of use
1. Nature of the service
TriPaced is a training assistance tool for long-distance triathlon (Half Ironman 70.3 and Full Ironman 140.6), published by Vincent Delpeuch, a natural person, as part of a free private beta.
TriPaced is not a medical service and does not replace medical advice, nor a certified sports coach. Training recommendations are provided for informational and educational purposes. The user trains under their own responsibility.
2. Access and account
Access to the Service is restricted to invited people who have submitted an application through the beta form. Users must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
The user undertakes to provide accurate information at sign-up (race date, level, availability, reference data) and to keep that information up to date.
3. Free of charge and no warranty
The Service is provided free of charge throughout the private beta phase. No billing, no commercial commitment.
The Service is provided as is, without warranty of availability, absence of errors or fitness for a particular purpose. The Service may be interrupted, modified or discontinued, temporarily or permanently, without notice.
4. Personal data and health data
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy policy, which details the purposes, legal bases, retention periods, recipients and user rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent).
TriPaced processes health data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR (declared injury episodes, training load computed with the Banister/Coggan models, messages sent to the AI coach once it is opened). Explicit and separate consent is required at sign-up. That consent can be withdrawn at any time from the account settings, which triggers the selective erasure of health data without deleting the account.
5. User responsibility
The user undertakes to consult a sports physician before starting an intensive training programme, in particular in the case of a cardiac, joint or metabolic condition, pregnancy, or a post-operative period.
The user acknowledges being solely responsible for the use they make of the training recommendations provided by the Service.
6. Confidentiality of the beta
Beta access is personal and named. The user undertakes not to publicly share the application URL, screenshots or detailed feedback without the publisher's prior agreement. Conversations with friends and family, and inviting other athletes to apply, are welcome.
7. Published content and sharing activated by the user
The Service includes spaces where the user may, if they choose to, make certain information visible to other people: the community space (a forum reserved for signed-in users), leaderboards, the public share link for a session, and linking to a human coach of the platform. None of these sharing options is active by default. What becomes visible in each case is detailed in the Privacy policy.
The user remains responsible for the content they publish. Insulting, defamatory, hateful or discriminatory statements, unlawful content, publishing a third party's personal data without their agreement, and commercial solicitation are prohibited. The publisher may remove content that breaches these terms and, in the event of a serious or repeated breach, suspend access to the Service.
Publishing health information in the community space is discouraged: that content is free text and does not benefit from the specific protections applied to the health data processed by the Service.
8. Intellectual property
All elements of the Service (interface, logos, educational content, planning algorithms) remain the exclusive property of the publisher. Any unauthorised reproduction, representation, modification, publication or distribution is prohibited.
The training data entered or synchronised by the user (sessions, performances, check-ins) remains the property of the user. An export function (FIT, JSON) is provided.
9. Changes to the terms
These terms may change during the beta phase. In the event of a significant change, beta testers will be informed by email before the new terms apply.
10. Contact and termination
Any question about these terms, as well as any account deletion request, can be sent to vincent@tripaced.com.
The user may terminate their account at any time by sending an email to that address. Deletion erases all personal data within a maximum of 30 days.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their performance will be submitted to the competent French courts, after an attempt at amicable resolution.
12. Language
This English text is a translation provided for convenience. The French version is the reference version and prevails in the event of a discrepancy of interpretation.
For further information about data processing, see the Privacy policy and the Legal notice (French only).
