Load ramp : rate of volume progression
LoadThe speed at which weekly volume or TSS is increased from one block to the next.
The 10% rule states not to increase total volume by more than 10% per week. In practice, a 3:1 block structure (3 loading weeks + 1 recovery week) is more robust than linear progression. Too-fast load ramp (ATL growing >5 TSS/day/week for 3 weeks) is the leading cause of overuse injury. Ideal ramp rate in Ironman prep: 3-5% CTL/week during build phase.
In TriPaced:
In TriPaced, the load ramp is managed by the periodisation algorithm. The rate is adapted to your training window and reference TSS. A warning displays if ATL grows too fast (injury risk).
