Micro-cycle : the training week
LoadThe training week: the basic building block of all structured triathlon planning.
The micro-cycle is the fundamental building block of structured training. In triathlon it typically covers 5-7 sessions spread across three disciplines. Its internal structure (recovery, intensity, volume sessions) depends on where you are in the meso-cycle (base, build, peak, taper). Three to four micro-cycles form a meso-cycle, typically with a deload week every 3-4 weeks to absorb adaptations.
In TriPaced:
In TriPaced, every week of your plan is a micro-cycle optimized for your current load (ATL/CTL), your availability inputs, and your proximity to race A. The app automatically reshuffles session order if you postpone a session.
