Interval : Interval training session
LoadHigh-intensity repetitions alternating with controlled recovery periods.
An interval session alternates intense efforts with recovery periods. Target intensity can be Z4 threshold (e.g. 4×10 min), Z5 VO2max (e.g. 5×3 min), or Z6 anaerobic (e.g. 8×30 s). The work-to-rest ratio varies by goal: closer to 1:1 means more VO2max-specific work. In long-distance triathlon, intervals are mostly sub-threshold to avoid excessive recovery debt.

In TriPaced, interval sessions appear during Build and Peak phases based on your FTP and CSS. The planner adjusts reps and recovery duration to stay within your target weekly TSS.
