Pace : Running pace (min/km)
RunThe time taken to cover one kilometre, the main reference for calibrating run intensity.
Pace is expressed as minutes per kilometre (e.g. 5:00 /km). It depends on your maximal aerobic speed (MAS), lactate threshold, and daily freshness. Plans distinguish Z2 pace (aerobic base, ~70-75 % max HR), threshold pace (near 10 km effort, ~85 % max HR), Z5 pace (VO2max intervals), marathon pace, and Ironman pace (slightly slower than marathon to preserve reserves).
In TriPaced:
In TriPaced, prescribed run sessions target an intensity zone (Z2, threshold, VO2) rather than a fixed pace, because pace depends on your daily form. Session descriptions translate the zone into an indicative pace range computed from your detected threshold.
